Tata Housing Scholarships Overview 

The Meritorious Girl Students TATA Housing Scholarship is a scholarship to encourage girls’ technical and professional education.

Tata Housing conducts the Meritorious Girl Students Tata Housing Scholarship. The aim is to identify, motivate and financially help the meritorious girl students belonging to economically weaker sections to complete higher education in civil engineering, architecture, and project management of construction and be part of the flourishing real estate industry.

Female applicants are also eligible to qualify for the first year of the 2-year full-time MBA course in construction project management. Since the grant is awarded based on academic merit and the candidate’s need, preference will be given to SC and ST candidates if both candidates are equal in all other measures.

Benefits of the Meritorious Girl Students’ Tata Housing Scholarship

Amount of the scholarship: The amount expended on entrance fees, tuition fees, library fees, review fees, and book purchases will be reimbursed up to a maximum limit of Rs. 60,000 upon presentation of sufficient proof.

If a student is already benefiting from any scholarship, only the difference between the expenditure and the scholarship value would be refunded.

Renewal: For all applicants who perform well in their course’s successive years and retain an overall percentage of 60% of points, the scholarship will be extended.

 

Criteria for Eligibility

• To benefit from the Tata Housing Scholarships Scheme for the 2020-21 academic year, the applicant must meet the following eligibility criteria.
• The applicant should be a female student.
• Applicants can study B.Tech/B.E/B.Arch in Civil Engineering/Architecture in the second year of a four-year degree course at a recognized institute or university.
• Girls are eligible to apply for Tata Housing Scholarships for Meritorious Girl Students in the 1st Year of Full-Time MBA Courses (02 Years) in Construction Project Management.
• In the first year of engineering/architecture courses, girl students must have earned at least 50 percent marks in aggregate.

Income criteria: In the preceding financial year, the applicant’s parents/guardians’ gross annual family income should not exceed three lakhs from all sources.

Amount/Reward of the Tata Housing Scholarship

Applicants for shortlisted girls can only earn the incentive up to a limit of Rs.60000/- to pay the tuition fee, entry fee, library fee, test fee, book purchase, etc.
