The award of the contract being completed by GAIL for the Pradhan Mantri Urja Ganga pipeline project

The 3400km long Natural Gasoline pipeline will cover Jagdishpur of Uttar Pradesh-Haldia of West Bengal and Bokaro (Jharkhand) –Dharma (Orissa). It is called JHBDPL in short forms.

One of the most ambitious projects of the Pradhan Mantri Urja Ganga pipeline was completed by GAIL (Gas Authority of India Limited). The project of gas utility owned by the state contract the pipeline through Jagdishpur, Haldia, Bokaro, and dharma of four major states of the country.

Natural Gasoline pipeline project naming JHBDPL is 3400km long which covers Jagdishpur of Uttar Pradesh-Haldia of West Bengal and Bokaro (Jharkhand) –Dharma (Orissa). GAIL is also planning to provide gasoline connectivity to other places in West Bengal.

This project has a budget of 475 crores and it includes the spur lines to Kolkata of West Bengal with connecting Haldia to Durgapur through a gas pipeline.

This is compiled to give approx. 32   lakhs of households the CNG (compressed natural gas) connectivity. The gas pipeline has to be further divided into the cluster form which will include 25 industries of five states.

The good news is that the pipeline project has already extended its reach to Barauni of Bihar. Even the gas supply by GAIL is being done to the fertilizer plant as well as the refinery. The CGD (city gas distribution) branch of Patna capital of Bihar is consuming the services of natural gas distribution through the gas pipeline. This distribution is aimed to provide natural fuel to the east region of the country. A complete project for this region to provide the gas pipeline is all set up to be completed by December 2021.

The central government is also ready for the investment of 13 crores to extend the gas pipeline to the east region of the country. It is aimed to give connect the 2600 villages of the eastern states of the country.

The GAIL, one of the prestigious PSUs of the country, is working on extending a long network of gas pipelines which is around 5,500 km long. It is a big-budget project of Rs 25,000 crores. It has to be constructed to provide the gas supplies through the pipeline in many other states of the east and west regions of India.

The Gas Authority of India Limited has many other projects lined up to provide green fuel to those parts of the country which are untouched by the gas pipeline.

Many projects are being scheduled to be completed in collaboration with National Gas Grid. The growing gas pipeline projects in the country are majorly contributing to the growth and economy of the country.

The upcoming gas projects are also targeted to give maximum employment opportunities to the deserving unemployed section of the country. GAIL is also planning to apply for a loan to raise the infrastructure for upcoming gas pipeline projects.

Hence, this is the project which had been lounging for a long.
