Vidyadhan Scholarship Overview
A scholarship given by the Sarojini Damodaran Foundation is the Vidyadhan Scholarship. It aims to provide economically weak and deserving students with financial assistance to pursue higher education.
After they complete their class 10 board examinations or equivalent, they can apply for the scholarship. The scholarship can currently be used across eight states in India.
Telangana, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Pondicherry, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Kerala are the states that fall under the Vidyadhan scholarship. More than 2800 students are being funded through states in India as of 2019.
The scholarship has an initial period of two years (classes 11 and 12). The scholarship will be expanded to help students undertake a degree course if they continue to pursue their studies with excellent results.
Eligibility Requirements of the Vidyadhan Scholarship 2019
The Vidyadhan Scholarship can be used by students, provided they meet the following eligibility criteria:

- The students’ annual family income must be below INR 2,00,000.
- Students in class 10/ SSC exam should have secured not less than 90 percent marks or equivalent. For candidates with disabilities, 75% is the cut-off.
- Students from one of the following states should have completed their 10th class or equivalent:
- Telangana
- Gujarat
- Maharashtra
- Pondicherry
- Tamil Nadu
- Andhra Pradesh
- Karnataka
- Kerala
Vidyadhan Scholarship Sum
For classes 11 and 12, selected students will be awarded a sum of INR 6,000 per year.
Significant Dates Vidyadhan Scholarship
New applications are currently closed as of November 2019. After the results for the Class 10 2020 exams are released, the application window will reopen. However, the application window will open by June and finish by the end of July, based on past patterns.
How to apply for a 10th-passed student Vidyadhan Scholarship?
The following are the steps for applying for the 2020-211 Vidyadhan Scholarship.
Step 1: Until the application form is filled out. Please review the conditions for eligibility.
Step 2: Then proceed to www.vidyadhan.org/apply if you are qualified, and click on the application tab at the bottom of the page.
Step 3: Fill out the information after accessing the tab. As it will be used for OTP authentication, please include your e-mail ID.
Step 4: Allocate to your account a safe and stable password.
Step 5: Press the ‘Submit Now’ button after that. A link will be sent to your E-mail ID to trigger your account.
Step 6: Open your e-mail and click on the link provided to complete the scholarship verification process.
Step 7: Select your Scholarship Form now and click on the ‘Apply Now’ button.
Step 8: Upload all the requisite documents now and press the Proceed button.
Step 9: A confirmation will appear on your screen stating the successful application form for the Vidyadhan Scholarship 2020.
The procedure of Vidyadhan Scholarship Selection
Based on academic results, the selection process will initially screen students. For either an interview or an examination, provisionally selected students would have to appear.
The students who are shortlisted individually will be contacted with the date and time of the interview. Also, in some situations, the foundation will reimburse the student and a parent’s travel costs.
Who will apply to receive the 2020-21 Vidyadhan Scholarship?
The SDF has revealed its minimum qualifications for applying for the 2020-21 Vidyadhan Scholarship. Students who have less than Rs. 2lakh family income per year in the Economically Weaker Group and completed their class 10 from their respective states in 2020.
In their Class 10 test, students must have a score of 80 percent or 8 CGPA. For disabled students, 70 percent is the cut-off point.

Before applying for the scholarship, please make sure the following documents are readily accessible.
