- Under the DRDO Scholarship Scheme for Girls, the following scholarship number will be used to support shortlisted students:
- For undergraduate students (BE/ B.Tech/ B.Sc. Engg)-approximately 120000 per year or annual fees, whichever is less for four years.
- For postgraduate students (ME/ M.Tech/ M.Sc. Engg)-approximately 15500/- per month and subject to approximately 186000/- per year for two years.
- The number of scholarships: 20 UG level seats and 10 PG level seats.

Here we have given you the pattern of eligibility for the scheme for both undergraduate and postgraduate levels:
For the Scholarship Program for Undergraduates
- The applicant must have Indian citizenship.
- The applicant must have been admitted to the applicable B.E./B. Tech./B.Sc Engg. of the current academic year which is 2020-21. Aeronautical Engineering, Aircraft Engineering, Avionics, Aeronautical Engineering, Space & Rocketry Engineering Stream Course.
- The JEE Main) the exam should have been cleared by an applicant and have a legitimate rating for the same.
For the Program for Postgraduate Scholarship
- In the first year of the applicable M. E/M. Tech/M.Sc Engg., the applicant should be enrolled. Courses at the time of implementation in the related discipline.
- 60% marks or CGPA/CPI of 6.75 in the graduation degree must have been scored.
- An applicant must have an accurate GATE score.
Supplementary requirements
- Students pursuing a dual degree/integrated master’s degree in the subjects mentioned above also qualify for the first four years of the B. Tech degree under the system mentioned above to comply with the eligibility criteria.
- Applicants should have essential qualifications and should have a clear JEE (Main) and GATE rating for B. Tech and M.Tech, respectively. The specified basic requirements are minimal, and the scholarship is not guaranteed by mere possession.
- The scholarship program is exempt from any duty to bond. However, the scholars of the program would ideally have to do their main project work for the final year at DRDO/Govt. Labs or programs sponsored by AR&DB in every company during their course work.
What are the Application Steps?
- An applicant must follow the steps given below to qualify for a scholarship:
- Visit the official web site of RAC.
- Now on the homepage, under the View Advertisement section, click on the ‘Online application form’ link.
- A new registration page will appear on your phone, where you will need to finish your registration process.
- Complete the application form after completing the registration process by entering all your medical, educational, and contact information in the field prompted.
Applicants need to upload scanned images of relevant documents as follows in the next phase:
- Aadhaar Card (500 KB max)
- Proof of approval (max 500 KB)
- Latest color photograph of the passport (max. size 50 KB)
- Institute’s certificate (max 500 KB)
- Info on payments (max 500 KB)
- A printout of the online application submitted/Locked for reference.
- Finally, press and lock the form on the Submit button.
Important Notice
Candidates must remember that postgraduate and undergraduate scholars are expected to pass all the exams prescribed by the institutions during the scholarship era. Other than that, in each semester test, they need to maintain a cumulative grade point average of 7.00 or 70 percent marks.
