UP Kanya Sumangala Yojana Overview

The Government, to support and protect the future of girl child, keeps on introducing various schemes. One such scheme is known as Kanya Sumangala Yojana.

This is the Government’s scheme, under which it is the Government who bears the expenses of the child from birth of the girl child, education, and health. The scheme also offers Rs.2 lakhs to the girl child after she attains the age of 21 years.

With the help of the scheme, the Government is trying to make the girl child independent. Here are all the details that you should know about the UP Kanya Sumangala Yojana 2020.

What is UP Kanya Sumangala Yojana?

The Yogi Government, to provide a safe and secure future to the girl child, has started this scheme. The Government created the GovernmentScheme to support the girls belonging to economically weaker families in getting an education and a better future. Under this scheme, the Government offers financial support to the girl from the day she is born.

Under the scheme, the Government offers 2 thousand Rupees to the girl at the time of birth. Other than this, after completing the vaccine, one year, the Government gives 1 thousand rupees.

The Government also supports the education of the girl child. When the child is admitted in the 1st Standard, she gets 2thousand rupees, 3 thousand rupees in the 6th Standard, 5 thousand rupees in the 9th Standard, and 7 thousand rupees in the 10th Standard.

Not only this, once the girl child clears her 12th Standard, and takes admission to any of the two years diploma course, the Government offers her support of 8 thousand rupees.

The initiative taken by the Government is not only to support her in getting education and health. But the Government also provides the support of 2 lakh rupees to the girl, once she attains the age of 21 years.

This support is given by the Government so that the money can be used for the girl’s marriage or to help her start her own business.

The aim of providing this support is to help her get a secure future, and she should not suffer lifelong due to poor economic conditions.

Who can apply for the UP Kanya Sumangala Yojana 2020?

The Government launched the GovernmentScheme to give a better life to the girl child and remove the thinking of having a girl in the family as a burden. The Government initiative helps many girls get a secure future, even if they belong to financially weaker families. Here are the eligibility criteria as to who can apply for this scheme.

• The one who wants to benefit from Mukhya Mantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana must be a resident of Uttar Pradesh state.
• The family willing to take advantage of this scheme must have a maximum of two children.
• The family income should be equal to or less than 3lakh rupees per annum.
• If you have twin girls at your house, both the girls will benefit from the scheme. In case you have a third girl child, she will also be eligible to apply for the scheme.

After that, you need to fill the form and attach the required documents to the state, including an Aadhar card, resident certificate, income certificate, etc. Once you upload all the required documents, you can submit the form.
