Apollo tyre is a world-renowned name in the tyre manufacturing market. It is a public company that came into existence way back in the year 1972. Since then it has strolled a long way to push its way to become the world’s 14th largest name in the world of rubber products.

The inception of Apollo tyres happened in Bihar, in 1977. A year prior to that, a number of companies, named Rohit Singh, Bharat Steel Tubes Ltd, Raunaq and Company Pvt Ltd, promoted Apollo tyres. A couple of years later, in 1991 subsequent plants were started at Gujrat and then in Kerela.
The year 2008 marked the beginning of yet another plant in Tamil Nadu. 2009 was a rather significant year in the history of Apollo tyres and it achieved commendable success and appreciation.
The name of Apollo tyres reached an extreme premise of glory when in 209 it took over the Netherland based tyre company named Vredestein Banden B.V, at an undisputedly exorbitant sum.
