A revolutionary leader and freedom fighter of India, Rash Behari Bose passed away on the 21st of January, 1945, two years prior to India’s independence in 1947.
Born on the 25th of May in the year 1886, in the Indian state of West Bengal, Rash Behari Bose was a famous entity who played a key role as an activist in the Indian Independence Movement and was also a part of the Indian National Army.
Pursuing a career in medical sciences, as well as engineering from foreign places like Germany and France, he becomes a prominent figure, joining the likes of many other revolutionaries in Bengal along with other significant members of the Arya Samaj in the United Provinces.
He became blacklisted after being an active member of an assassination team that targeted Lord Hardinge, but the attempt was a failure, and Bose was marked, which led him to go into hiding.
Later, he became a prominent member of the Ghadar revolution which aimed at starting a mutiny in India.
However, the failure of the revolution along with the arrest of his fellow revolutionaries led Bose to take shelter in the country of Japan. He escaped from India and started living in Tokyo in the year 1915.
