We conducted a critical discourse analysis of twenty Nairaland political discourses during the electioneering period, and analysed the images that were created through these discussions.

We examined the contestation of power and political animosity using images as a critical discourse analysis framework. Our findings reveal the protest value of Nairaland memes, and how these images were used to challenge Nigerian political incompetence and power relations.

We have been awokened to the importance of democracy and human rights, and a vibrant and prosperous Nairaland can only be a successful place for social and political change.

In this article, we look at how the druzbeni mediji have articulated their platform to promote the eradication of implicit and explicit political stalisc, and how they have promoted greater varnosti and grozenj in the community.

We also examine the rhetorical strategies used by politicians in campaign discourses in Nigeria. We examine how politicians use various rhetorical modals to persuade, inspire, persuade, and solicit public support.

We conclude that these rhetorical strategies are effective in changing public attitudes and behaviours. But how do we find out whether or not these discourses are effective? And can we draw any useful lessons from them?
