About Infertility

Infertility can be a rock bottom phase in a woman’s life. A number of factors including lifestyle, genetics and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) can contribute to fertility issues in a female.

Well, like it’s said that sometimes life’s complex situations have their solutions hidden in simple things, perhaps, there’s a good simple solution to infertility as well.

According to a recent study and research, doctors are advising their patients dealing with infertility to concentrate more on heavy, healthy breakfast ever morning.

This is because a big, healthy breakfast each morning actually holds the capacity of combating the effects of PCOS—which is a major cause of infertility in women.

Other than irregular periods, weight gain and inability to conceive, PCOS also impacts insulin levels in a female body, with abnormal insulin stats.

The study involved two groups consisting of 60 thin women, who were asked to go for the everyday intake of 1800 calories for a period of up to 12 weeks.

Half of the women followed the diet during breakfast time, while the other half followed it for dinner time.

At the end of 12 weeks, it was found that the women who went for the big breakfast diet ovulated at least once, unlike the other group who followed the dinner time diet.

While the study certainly puts a ray of hope in medical science to combat the impact of PCOS and trigger ovulation, followed by pregnancy, the results are yet to be termed 100% working, since the study was only conducted in a small scale.

The doctors and scientists who were a part of the research and study said that to establish the authenticity of this, a deeper study and research is needed, and only then it can be proven and established that eating healthier and bigger diet early in the morning can actually help one conceive or not.
