4 Morning routines you should Avoid
-
You hit the ground first thing in the morning
It is said that when you sleep your muscles get relaxed by default as your body tries to re-energize itself. Hence, it is quintessential that when you wake up the next day you don’t instantaneously stress your muscles.
But that’s not what we generally tend to do. As we are always in a hurry, we wake up and instantly rush for the door to get the newspapers, milk, or simply rush to the washroom in a hurry to get ready for office/school, etc.
What we should be doing instead is waking up, sitting for around five minutes on the bed and stretching the muscles in a calm and composed way, in order to prevent them from some unnecessary shock or damage.
-
You snooze the alarm too many times
Are you a part of that bandwagon who sets the alarm at intervals like 6.00 a.m., 6.15 a.m., 6.30 a.m., and so on? Time to rethink! It is said that when you snooze your alarm multiple times and tend to get a short amount of sleep
in the meantime, you are actually messing with your brain as you are neither fully awake nor fully asleep in that time span.
It takes a toll on your brain and hinders it from functioning effectively and efficiently during the later parts of the day.
-
You skip your morning meal
Often we tend to miss the first meal of the day: breakfast. It has been mentioned enormous times that missing one’s breakfast is the most unhealthy habit one can have.
It is the first meal and hence, it is mandatory that your stomach gets it so that it can curb your unhealthy cravings for the rest of the day and also provide you with the necessary energy and nutrients to let your mind and body function well.
-
Keeping too much work for the morning
If you are working or are academically occupied, chances are high that you have an ultra-busy morning routine wherein you are always in a hurry.
Hence, it is mandatory that you don’t further stress yourself by adding too much of the difficult tasks for the morning that can hamper your already busy schedule.
Things like making a presentation for work/school, choosing outfits, etc, can be all done the previous night in order to avoid a disappointing scene in the mornings.
