Indian Oil Academic Scholarship  Overview

Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has been an excellent name in our country’s energy sector under the tagline of The Energy of India.” By providing more than 2500 scholarships to deserving candidates across India, the company has also ventured into the field of education.

This scholarship is granted to a wide range of students at different levels, from class 10 to higher technical courses such as MBA.

On a Merit-cum-Means basis, all these scholarships are offered. This scholarship encompasses all types of persons, such as General Merit, SC/ST/OBC/PWD, and a particular emphasis on female applicants.

Criteria for IOCL Scholarship Eligibility

IOCL has laid down some general and course-specific eligibility requirements. Before applying for scholarships, applicants have to look into these criteria. Below, we have given comprehensive eligibility for the Indian Oil Scholarship.

 

List of Scholarships for Indian Oil

Depending on the student’s study level, there are two forms of scholarships offered by IOCL. There are:

  • Indian Oil Merit Scholarship Program- For students in class 10 and ITI.
  • Indian Oil Scholarship Scheme for learners pursuing technical courses such as MBA, etc.

 

Criteria for General Eligibility

  • Only applicants who follow full-time and regular courses should apply.
  • Applicants participating in correspondence/distance training courses and online courses are not eligible.
  • MCI/ AICTE/ respective state education boards/ technical education boards of the respective states/ ICSE/ CBSE/ ISC boards etc., must consider the educational institutions where candidates are studying.
  • Parents’ annual income does not exceed INR 1,00,000.
  • The general age range of applicants-min. 15 and max. 30 years after 01.07.2020
  • Reservation criteria-15% of scholarships are reserved for SC applicants, 7.5% for ST, 27% for OBC, 25% for female candidates, and 10% for PWD.

 

IOCL Scholarship Application

To qualify for the Indian Oil Scholarship 2020, applicants must follow comprehensive application procedures. The online application process, step by step, is explained below:

  • To access the online application form, go to the official website, iocl.com.
  • Put all the valid information in the application form. Ensure that the entries are correct.
  • Candidates have to apply for the application form after validating the data.
  • A specific identification number for the candidates is then shown.
  • Candidates need to download/save the registered online application form and print it out.
  • Applicants must attach a hard copy of the documents and a hard copy of the application form.
  • It is essential to certify all documents.
  • Together with the documents, the application form may be sent before 31 October 2020 via Speed Post or Registered Post.

 

IOCL Scholarship Documents

Both applicants must insert and post approved hard copies of these documents along with the application form. The specifics of the application form should be verifiable based on the documentation submitted by the applicants. Document list:

  1. Certificate of income issued by civil authorities
  2. Aadhaar card
  3. Marking sheets for the last qualifying test
  4. Mark Sheets of Class 10
  5. Caste Certificate
  6. Applicant’s recent passport size picture
  7. Proof of residency
  8. Letter Bonafede from an educational institution
  9. ID card issued by an educational establishment
  10. Bank files

 

The phase of IOCL Scholarship Selection

  • IOCL’s IOCL scholarship selection committee for selecting eligible applicants for the topic of scholarship checks students’ integrity on different criteria.
  • The first measure of the option of scholarships is based on merit. The greater the candidate’s merit, the greater the chances of his or her selection are.
  • The second metric of selection criteria is based on the candidate’s annual family income. The lower his family’s profits, the greater his chances for the scholarship to be picked.
