AICTE Pragati Scholarship Overview

Pragati Scholarship is an MHRD scheme initiated by AICTE to advance technical education for girls further.

Education is one of the most critical ways for women to become actively involved in the growth process through their awareness, skills, and trust.

It is an attempt to allow young women to continue their education by empowering women through technical education and plan for a future that will be prosperous.

Eligibility Requirements for Pragati Scholarship

• You can apply for up to two girls per household.
• In the case of a married girl (for parents/in-laws, whoever is more critical), family income should not surpass Rs. 8 Lakhs per annum.
• Students admitted to AICTE accredited institutions for Diploma/Underground Studies/Courses.
• Only for students admitted to the academic year 2017-18 in their first year of degree/diploma.
• On a merit basis of a qualifying test, the applicant’s selection shall be carried out by one of the accredited institutions of the AICTE for a respective professional degree/diploma course.

Application method for Pragati Scholarship

To apply for a Pragati Bursary, please review the complete step by step process.

• To register with the Pragati Scheme, you can go to AICTE Portal @ https:/www.aicte-Pragati-saksham-gov.in.
• To create a new profile, click on “Register Here.” Enter the information and press “Subscribe.”
• An e-mail confirmation connection to the reported e-mail ID will be sent. After that click on the link, to check registration.
• Sign-up again with the registered e-mail name and password Id/User to complete the online application form at https:/www.aicte-Pragati-saksham-gov.in/.
• Enter personal information, family and income details, and details of the first year’s degree and diploma course in which admission is granted along with fee charged information, information of the Aadhar Seeded Savings Bank Account, SSC/10th Standard, and HSC/12th Standard Details.
• In the jpg. /pdf. /png attach scan copies of all required documents. Sizes.
• Submit a request form.
• Take the print out, it may be required in future.

Pragati Scholarship Necessary Documents

Find all the necessary documents for the Pragati Scholarship application here. Before completing the application form, students must keep a copy of all these documents scans ready.

• Regular SSC/10th Mark Surface.
• Standard sheet HSC/12th Mark.
• The 2016-17 Annual Family Revenue Certificate in the format specified by or above Tehsildar or its competent Authority for 2016-17.
• Letter of entry for the academic year 2017-18 provided by the Centralized Admission Administration.
• The Academic year 2017-18 tuition fee charged.
• Aadhar Seed Bank Pass Scanned Copy of a Student’s Name, account number, IFSC code, and photograph, registered with the Bank rubber stamp at a place of interest duly signed by the Manager.
• Certificate issued in compliance with Annex II by the Director, Principal/HOD.
• Certificate created by the Competent Authority for candidates applying for the Saksham Scheme in compliance with the state government’s format for applicants (only for physically disabled applicants with more than 40% disability).
• Certified SC/ST/OBC Certificate scanned copies, where applicable for group SC/ST/OBC.
• Declaration from properly signed parents claiming that their child’s information is right and will refund the scholarship cost if found to be incorrect by Annex – III at any point.
• Card of Aadhar
• Photography nominee.
• Signature of the claimant.

Benefits and Rewards Pragati Scholarship

The amount of the bursary offered and who receives the amount, the additional benefits, the academic award, and other related data are presented:

• AICTE Pragati Scholarship grants 4,000 girls’ bursaries in the form of 2000 bourses for graduates and 2000 students to graduate.
• A tuition fee of INR 30,000 or the value of the actual tuition fee is charged to the students chosen.
• Selected scholars are also entitled to earn INR 2000 as incidental fees each year for ten months per month.
• Students are entitled to earn a sum of Rs. 30 000/- for the purchase of books, software, and laptop/desktop/vehicle/fee, charged for competitive exam application form/examination in the case of tuition fee waiver/reimbursement.
• Fees charged for competitive exams, application forms, and review fees for all higher education/employment examinations.
