Dhemsa Dance
Dhemsa Dance is a traditional deliverance firm of the tribal people of central India and southern Odisha it is paisa dance form in many parts of Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
The dancers who perform the dance forms a chain by clutching each others by shoulders and arms. They then dance with the traditional tune.
Glorifying groups of Dhemsa
It is a unique form of folk dance which is performed in the groups. This dance form has a unique style, composition, rhythm, hairstyles, traditional costumes, body language, footsteps, jewelleries, etc. Tamak, dhol , changuand mahuri are the traditional instruments that are used in this form of dance.
Tamak is similar to bongo which is played to maintain the tempo of the rhythm. Dhol is played to add bass in the dance tunes and make it more appealing and interesting.

Usually Adivasis or Desia people perform this dance form at late nights during occasions such as Pus Puni or Pus Parab and ChaitParab.
The person who plays the mohuri is called mohuria and other people playing the instruments follow his tunes.
This is a unique and traditional folk dance form of Odisha and it has different kind of group formation and steps which make this dance firm different from others.
This dance form reveals the simplicity and liveliness of the tribal peoples and it is not only restricted to some special occasion. They perform this dance on casual days to celebrate their happiness and enjoy their life.
This dance firm helps them to relax after a day’s hard work and they also perform it on special occasions launch as child birth and harvesting seasons.
They have a different way if dressing with feathers and traditional sarees and jewelleries which distinguish them from others. This dance form helps them to enjoy their lives in a simple way and help them to celebrate sac and every small thing in their lives.
