If you studied in an ITI, sooner or later you will hear about the NCVT MIS portal. It was the website where your ITI, your registration and your exam result were kept. Many students still search for it to check a result or fix a mistake in a certificate. Here is the catch. The old system has been frozen and its data moved to a new platform. So the steps you find on older pages may send you to a dead end.

This guide explains what NCVT MIS was, what replaced it, how to see your ITI result now, and what to do if your name or date of birth is wrong on your certificate. I have kept to what government notices say. Where I could not confirm a detail, I say so.

What Is the NCVT MIS Portal?

ITI means Industrial Training Institute. It is a school for trades such as fitter, electrician, welder and mechanic. NCVT is the National Council for Vocational Training. It sets the standards for these courses and gives the national certificate. It works under the Directorate General of Training (DGT), which is part of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.

MIS means Management Information System. In simple terms, it is a database. The NCVT MIS portal held records of ITIs, trainees, admissions, exams and results. ITIs used it to enter student data. Students used it to see results and download marksheets.

Why old guides now mislead

DGT has moved this work to a new platform called the Skill India Digital Hub, or SIDH. A public notice dated 10 September 2025 said the old system’s data was being frozen. Profile complaints on NCVT MIS were allowed only until 15 September 2025 for ex-trainees of the Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS) up to the 2022 session. After that, the work shifted to SIDH.

When I tried the old NCVT MIS address, it did not open. So a “login” for NCVT MIS, as older articles describe, may no longer exist for you. For the latest position, check the DGT website.

What Replaced It: Skill India Digital Hub

SIDH is a single site for skill training records. DGT letters from November and December 2025 say the move was at an advanced stage. Two facilities were live on SIDH by then:

• Profile corrections for trainees admitted in 2014 or later.
• Legacy e-NTC generation for trainees admitted before 2014. NTC is the National Trade Certificate. The “e” means an electronic copy.

The letters also said that marksheets and certificates would be made again after corrections. DGT expected this to be done around 31 January 2026. Until then, employers were asked to accept provisional certificates. A provisional certificate is a temporary proof that you passed.

Registration: How a Trainee Gets Into the System

A student cannot register alone. Your ITI does the first step. A DGT letter of 9 January 2026 explains it. The ITI verifies each trainee on SIDH. It can use Aadhaar e-KYC, which means checking identity with Aadhaar and an OTP. If a student has no Aadhaar, another route through a Nodal ITI is allowed. A Nodal ITI is an ITI chosen to handle such cases for a group of institutes.

This step creates your PRN, the Permanent Registration Number. The PRN is your key. You need it for results and grievances. The same letter also spoke about the APAAR ID, a lifelong student ID, and set 17 October 2025 as the last date for session 2025 admissions.

What should you do as a student?

1. Ask your ITI office to confirm that your verification is done.
2. Get your PRN in writing or on your admission slip.
3. Check that your name, date of birth and parent names match your school records.

How to Check Your ITI Result

The NCVT ITI result for 2026 was declared on 10 August 2026, according to Careers360 and Jagran Josh. It was released on SIDH and not on the old portal. The theory exam ran as a computer-based test from 9 July to 3 August 2026, and practical exams were held earlier, from 3 to 6 July. News reports gave different numbers of students, so I have not repeated them.

Steps to see the result

1. Open the Skill India Digital Hub site. Type the address yourself. Do not click a link sent to you.
2. Go to the Result section.
3. Choose your scheme. CTS is for the regular ITI trades. CITS is the Craft Instructor Training Scheme.
4. Enter your PRN and date of birth.
5. On your dashboard, open the three-dot menu and choose View Result.

The result shows your roll number, trade, ITI name, session and marks. Save a screenshot or a print.

Login Problems and Simple Fixes

Most login trouble comes from a few causes. Go through this list before you call anyone.

• Wrong PRN. One wrong digit gives an error. Copy it from your slip.
• Date of birth does not match. If your school record differs from your ITI record, you need a correction. See the next section.
• No mobile or email on file. If your mobile or email was never updated, ask your Nodal ITI to raise the request for you.
• Using the old NCVT MIS address. Results and corrections now sit on SIDH.
• Verification not done. If the ITI has not verified you, the system may not show your record. Only the ITI can fix this.

How to Correct Your Name or Date of Birth

A wrong name on a certificate can block a job or a passport file. DGT has a grievance route for it. A public notice of 17 December 2025 sets it out for CTS trainees admitted in 2014 or later.

1. Log in to the DGT page on the Skill India Digital Hub.
2. Go to Grievance and choose Raise Grievance.
3. Select the item to be fixed. The letters mention name, date of birth and the father’s or mother’s name.
4. Upload the proof the form asks for.
5. Submit and note the reference number.

Your request does not go straight to DGT. It moves in order: the trainee, the Nodal ITI, the State authority and then DGT. If your mobile or email is not on file, the Nodal ITI can raise it for you. For other kinds of problems, use the ticket option in the Help section.

Trainees admitted before 2014 follow a different route. They can generate a legacy e-NTC on the same platform. Since dates for such facilities were still moving when I checked, read the current notice on the DGT website.

Downloading the NCVT Certificate

After you pass, your marksheet and NTC or NAC come through the same system. NAC is the National Apprenticeship Certificate, given to apprentices. Reissue of documents after corrections was expected by the end of January 2026. If yours is not ready, ask your ITI about the status. Keep the provisional copy safe until the final one arrives. Also read the print carefully. Check the name, trade and year before you use it for a job form.

Staying Safe from Fake Sites

Result days bring fake pages. Some ask for money to show a result. Others ask for your Aadhaar and OTP. I found no fee for viewing a result on the official platform. Never share an OTP with anyone. If a site asks for payment to show marks, close it.

Final Word

The NCVT MIS portal did its job for years, but it is no longer the place to go. For results, corrections and certificates, the work now runs on the Skill India Digital Hub. Know your PRN, keep your details matching across documents, and use only the official address. If something looks different from what is written here, trust the latest DGT notice.
