About Kanchenjunga National Park

Khangchendzonga National Park, situated in North Sikkim bordering Nepal, reaches out over an area of 850 sq km & was set up on 26 August 1977.

It is encased by few striking mountain peaks & ice sheets on each side with the exception of its eastern bit. Kanchenjunga lies towards the western limit and it is among the highest mountain peaks towering on top of verging on the continuous fabulous backwoods wrap.

The ice sheets & peaks on the northern bit include Nepal, Talung, Tent mountain & the Zemo (most prominent) & Simyo icy masses & extra tops, for example, Pandim, Narshing, Siniolchu thus on in further headings.

Between the state avifauna that contains pretty nearly five-fifty classes of flying creatures a few are to be found in bounty in the recreation center, for example, satyr tragopan, osprey, Himalayan griffon, lammergeier, blood pheasants, Tibetan snow chicken, snow pigeon, sunbirds, impeyan pheasants, green pigeon, tragopan fowl, Asian emerald cookoo and falcons.
