RAAZI – Movie Cast, Reviews & Release Date
About RAAZI Movie
Directed by Meghna Gulzar and produced by Junglee Pictures and Dharma Production, Raazi stars Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Soni Razdan, Jaideep Ahlawat, Rajat Kapur and Shishir Sharma. Alia Bhatt, back after an apparent break plays the role of an Indian spy, Sehmat who is married to a Pakistani officer, Iqbal Syed, played by Vicky Kaushal.
Set in the tense background of PoK and other parts of Kashmir during the 1971 Indo- Pakistan war, the movie explores “deep themes in its narrative”. The movie perfectly captures the role of emotions in duties and decisions and eventually on the future of the two countries.
The beauty of the movie is that it sticks to the idea it wants to portray and doesn’t demonize either of the countries. The four-track album by the famous trio Shankar- Ehsaan- Loy is to the point and splendidly justifies the influence of the local regions via Afghani instruments and Middle- Eastern influences and gives the vibe that seems nothing less than perfect.
The trailer leaves the viewers with goosebumps because the actors, scriptwriters and the entire technical team seem to have put jumbo effort into their jobs. The movie has the perfect recipe for a noteworthy, espionage thriller with captivatingly choreographed action, fine crafted and intense intrigue and a cat and mouse chase that would bring the viewers on the edges of their seats.
Based on the novel “Calling Sehmat” by ex-naval officer Harinder Sikka, the movie is a riveting thriller and much more than that. Hitting the theatres on 11th of May, this beautiful piece of art would be definitely worth the money.
