About New Gen Toyota Camry

Globally renowned Japanese automaker Toyota has been flashing sneak peeks and news of the upcoming generation of its very popular model Camry for quite some time.

And now the wait is finally going to get over as in the upcoming Auto Expo to be held on the 9th of January in Detroit, the New Gen Toyota Camry will be unveiled, which would then be followed by an estimated global launch in the year 2018.

The Camry series, which is currently in its seventh generation in the market, has been one of the most popular automobiles globally to date, in the premium sedan segment, and nothing short is expected from the next generation of Camry either.

So far the teaser images of the new sedan as flashed by Toyota suggests, the automobile will undergo quite a number of changes both internally and externally, wherein on the exterior, the new tail lamps and XSE design are already making the news, alongside more premium and stylish designs, which are effectively grabbing eyeballs. According to the makers, the new-gen Toyota Camry will be all about being a fun ride and performance-oriented sedan!

This new version has gone one facelift succeeding the previous variant of the sedan, and Toyota has religiously tested this one for quite some time now, before giving a green signal for its ultimate unveiling at the Detroit Auto Expo in January 2017.

Coming to other technical specs of the new Camry, if reports are to be believed, then the existing 3.5-litre V6 engine, currently offered on the existing generation of Camry will now be replaced by a 2.0 liter turbocharged, four-cylinder naturally aspirated engine.

Additionally, it is also being said that along with this variant of the sedan, a hybrid version too is expected in the Indian market.

The estimated price of the new-gen Toyota Camry in India is currently estimated to be somewhere between Rs. 34 lacs to Rs. 36 lacs. The new sedan with its launch will face direct competition in the sedan market from its contemporaries like the Skoda Superb and Honda Accord, among others.
