Jeep Compass has been ruling the market for quite some time now. However, if you feel that a sunroof is the only thing that’s possibly missing from this dashing SUV, then perhaps it’s time to be jolly since Jeep India has decided to fix this shortcoming.

Jeep Compass’ latest up-game is a brand new variant featuring a panoramic sunroof, and it is being called the Limited Plus Edition of 2018. Unofficial bookings for this new variant have already started and some of the dealerships are offering pre-booking options with a token deposit of Rs. 1 lakh, with promised deliveries in the month of October, close to October 10, when one of the most popular festivals of India: Navratri begins.

Other than the sunroof, which is primarily the most exciting feature in this new offering from Jeep India, there are several other aspects that make the Limited Plus Edition certainly something to look forward to. These include:

  • Dual-tone exterior
  • A bigger 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, upgraded from the 7-inch one in the limited edition
  • Rain-sensing wipers
  • Auto headlamps
  • 18-inch alloy wheels, upgraded from the 17-inch alloy wheels in the limited edition
  • Electrically adjustable seats, both for the driver as well as the front seat passenger

The engine options on this unlimited edition, however, stays unchanged, with a 2.0-liter diesel motor and a 1.4-liter petrol motor. For the diesel variant, the transmission unit remains the same with the 6-speed manual transmission while for the petrol variant, it can be automatic.

Coming to the pricing, expect the Limited Plus edition to have close to an Rs. 1.5 lakh to Rs. 2 lakhs hike in pricing over the current price of the limited edition, which is around Rs. 20.36 lakhs for the diesel 4×2 variant and Rs. 21.35 lakhs for the 4×4 variant.

Jeep India has also listed the Compass Black Pack Edition on its website. This one has no sunroof featuring in it, however, it is a thorough dose of black all over, giving that edgy classy look and feel on the go! The ORVMs, the alloys, as well as the interiors are an all-black—giving its Black Pack title quite a validation.

Like the Jeep Compass Bedrock, the Jeep Compass Black Pack edition is being offered as an accessory package on the Limited (O) variant of the SUV. You can go for this all-black component with an extra Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 25,000 over the prices of the Limited (O)’s.
