Founded in the year 2009 by Pradeep Jain, KarbonnMobiles Private Limited is an Indian telecommunications company, with two headquarters, one situated in Bangalore in the south Indian state of Karnataka, and the other situated in the city of Noida, Delhi NCR.
Currently, along with India, Karbonn has active operations in neighboring countries like Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, as well as middle-east countries and European countries.
The brand also holds a record of being the first-ever Android One phone that was sold in the United Kingdom, and it had managed to make its presence felt there through popular online e-commerce portal Amazon UK.
While Karbonn has always been primarily focused on producing smartphones powered by Android OS, it was in the year 2014, that popular American technology giant Microsoft had announced Karbonn as a hardware partner for their Windows Phone OS.
