Patna Sahib Gurudwara
About Patna Sahib Gurudwara
Fundamentally known as Takht Sri Patna Sahib, this holy place is a popular Sikh gurudwara located in the neighborhood of Patna Sahib—the place which forms the title of the shrine. The gurudwara was built on the 22nd of December, in the loving memory of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, whose birthplace was Patna Sahib.
It was constructed by the famous warrior kind Maharaja Ranjit Singh, who was the first king of the entire Sikh empire, and also happened to construct a list of other significant gurudwaras for Sikhs in both the countries of India and Pakistan.
The holy pilgrim spot garners a lot of tourist attention not just for its rich history and ties with the famous Guru Gobind Singh Ji, but also for the fact that other prominent entities in Sikhism such as Guru Nanak and Guru Tegh Bahadur too spent quality time of their lives here.
