What Is The Super TET? How Should I Start Preparing For The Super TET 2022 Exam?
The Super Teacher Eligibility Test or Super TET, conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board, aims to recruit assistant teachers at the primary and upper primary level in government schools.

Who can apply for Super TET?
All those candidates who have successfully cleared the UPTET examination can apply for the vacancy announced under Super TET 2022 exam. Recently, the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board announced 17,000 teacher vacancies.
What is the Selection Process of the Super TET Examination?
There are several stages in the recruitment process:
- Examination: A written examination
- Interview: Successful candidates of the first stage appear for a personal interview
- Calculation of marks: Marks from the written examination and interview, along with academic performance are calculated
- Merit list: A merit list is prepared and the candidates who clear the cutoff are called for document verification
- Verification: Post verification of documents and other details, the eligible and suitable candidate has given an appointment letter
The formula for calculating the Final Merit List / Cutoff is given below:

What is the examination pattern for Super TET ??
All the candidates need to go through the examination pattern and syllabus before applying. It will be easier for candidates to crack this examination once they have understood the pattern. The examination pattern for Super TET is given below:
- Objective i.e., Multiple Choice Questions(MCQs)
- 150 questions for one mark each
- The total marks of the test is 150
- Two Sections:
- The First Section is compulsory and the same for all candidates. The questions in this section are on General Knowledge, Reasoning & Current Affairs
- The Second Section is specific to the subject of your choice. For example, subjects like Language, Social Studies, Mathematics & Science
How to start preparing for the Super TET Examination?
Once you are aware of the pattern of the Super TET, and before you start your exam preparation, go through the syllabus of every subject thoroughly to create a proper strategy for each subject. For the ease of all the candidates, we have given some tips for each subject below:
Subject 1: Teaching Methodology
This is one of the most challenging and essential portions of the test. It is based on teaching and learning methods. Focus on topics like Learning Concepts, Best Teaching Activities, Understanding Diverse Learners and the Teaching-Learning process.
Subject 2: Language ( Hindi, English & Sanskrit )
Questions from this section are on basic concepts and understanding. To prepare for this section, start reading newspapers in your respective language. Read one standard book to understand all the concepts.
Subject 3: Mathematics
While the mathematics syllabus is lengthy and often tough, the questions are of moderate difficulty. A standard book like that by RS Aggarwal will be beneficial. Make sure that you learn all the concepts and formulas for vital topics such as Number Systems, Mensuration, Geometry, Percentage, and Statistics.
Subject 4: Science
This section is relatively easy when compared to other sections. The best way to prepare for science is to study NCERT books which will help to score good marks in this section.
Subject 5: Environmental & Social Studies
Only basic environmental concepts need to be studied for this section but you must study the Indian Constitution, Indian Economy, and its challenges.
Subject 6: Logical Knowledge
For this section, follow any standard reasoning books and practice a lot.
Subject 7: Information Technology
For this section, basic computer knowledge is a must. Candidates should also be aware of new and useful applications.
Subject 8: Management & Aptitude
Go through the education policy, professional conduct & policy, role of education, and motivation for this section.
