About Idagunji
Located in the Uttara Kannada district in the south Indian state of Karnataka, Idagunji is a popular pilgrim center for the Hindus, lying close to the Sharvathi River, and houses a list of holy temples, which devotees visit often to pay their tributes to the Hindu deities.
The most popular and significant from the list of temples located in Idagunji is the Shri Vinayaka Devaru Temple, dedicated to Lord Ganesha.
This temple happens to be one among the six popular and holy Ganesha Temples located in the western coast of the state, which also happens to be known by the name of Ganesha Coast. The other five places housing such Ganesha Temples are Gokarna, Kasargod, Mangalore, Kundapura, and Anegudde.
The popularity of this temple is so intense that according to records, more than millions of followers of the lord visit this place every year to worship and be a part of the rituals of the temple.
