Big B who sang “Le Panga” as a promotional stunt for the Pro Kabaddi League is now set to sing the National Anthem at the opening ceremony of the kabaddi event on Saturday. He sang the national anthem for a special music video for Republic Day previously this year.

He says that delivering the national pride through his voice is gratification in itself. He mentioned in blog by saying “For the opening of the Pro Kabaddi they ask me to render it (national anthem) live before the start of the first game in Mumbai….such a wonderful feeling it leaves us all with… to be a part of this privilege…to be a part of national identity, national binding, and national honour.”

He also mentioned in his blog that the PKL will have it sing live for all the games throughout the tournament by leading figures, choirs, orchestras and composers. He also writes on his blog saying, “No matter where you hear it, in whatever situation, there is something about, this song, this anthem, this composition that brings the hair on end and leaves you with the power of national pride and place…”

His son Mr. Abhishek Bacchan is also an owner of PKL team, Jaipur Pink Panthers who were the winner of last season and are set to play against U Mumba in the opening match. PKL will feature 60 games across 37 days in eight cities.

He added in his blog saying, “There are anthems that have no words!! I saw it during the World Cup Football… I was wondering why none of the players were singing the words as the anthem played, only to be told later that the particular country did not have any words, just a tune, of respect and attention…

Fascinating!!”It makes not only him proud but India overall and gives Kabaddi as a game a national boost to be recognized by the mass at a whole bringing in more funds and investments bringing in equivalent to cricket mania.
