Finally, a new addition to the 2017 Audi line-up is here with the launch of the facelifted version of the 2017 Audi Q3 in India. The model is currently priced at a starting range of Rs. 34.2 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and with this launch, it marks the company’s third automobile launch in the Indian market in the year 2017, the previous two launches being the A3 Cabriolet facelift as well as the new-gen A4 diesel. Both these models went to sale in the month of February in India.
Coming to the brand new crossover SUV, 2017 Audi Q3, the beast is all decked with better style, a list of additional new features, and the best thing to look out for in it is the new pair of TDI 2.0 liters engine, which is currently available in two different sets of tunes, first of which is the 148 BHP version, and the other one is 181 BHP version. It is the second one that comes with the popular Quattro System from Audi and is presently priced at a starting range of Rs. 37.2 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The 148 BHP version of the SUV has a peak torque of 340 NM, decked with a 7-speed S Tronic automatic gearbox that enables one to switch from 0 to 100 KMPH in just 9.3 seconds.
The fuel efficiency that one can expect from this version is around 18.5 KMPL. On the other hand, for the 181 BHP version of the SUV, the peak torque that it offers is 380 NM, all decked up with the same 7-speed S Tronic automatic gearbox, just like the 148 BHP, however, it is integrated with the popular Quattro all-wheel-drive, which has been known to be Audi’s signature since quite some time now.
The fuel efficiency of this version is somewhere around 15.17 KMPL.
According to the head of Audi India, Rahil Ansari, the Audi Q3 has always been one of the best selling models of the company in the Indian market ever since it was introduced years ago and that is precisely why with the changing dynamics of the automobile industry, they have been one step ahead and added an impressive set of new features in the crossover SUV alongside upgraded engine options and they are confident that this time too, the facelift version will click well with the consumers, like it always has with the Audi Q3.
