The REAL reason why Priyanka Chopra chose Jodhpur over all international destinations for her wedding to Nick Jonas

Bollywood’s diva Priyanka Chopra is all set to tie the knot with Hollywood heartthrob Nick Jonas at the Umaid Bhavan Palace in Jodhpur. The wedding preparations kickstart from today with a puja that Priyanka is performing at her mother’s house, since she believes every new inning must begin with the almighty’s blessings.

Priyanka may have achieved a lot in her career in both Bollywood and Hollywood, but at her heart she’s a true Desi Girl, a tag that’s tailor-made for her. When she announced to the world that she was engaged to Nick Jonas, many countries and tourism boards began approaching the couple, since international destination weddings are becoming the trend now, and the best examples of late would be, Deepika and Ranveer and Virat and Anushka, since both the couples chose Italy as their wedding destination.

But then what made Priyanka choose the Umaid Bhavan Palace in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, over all international spots? Well, she is a royal Desi Girl at heart, and wanted her new chapter to begin from the place where her roots are, where her heart belongs, and hence, she chose India. Acknowledging the same, her mother Dr. Madhu Chopra said, ”Mera bahot hi pasandita shehar hai, poori duniya chodhkar yaha aaye hai (Jodhpur is one of my favorite cities in the world, hence, we’ve come here leaving all other places).”

The main wedding preps of NickYanka would begin from the 29th of November and wrap up by 3rd December and for the entire stretch of these days, the Umaid Bhavan Palace has closed its doors for public viewing.
