As soon as the brand-new teaser of upcoming Bollywood flick Julie 2 released on Wednesday, it sparked up an internet storm going viral in no time.
The erotic thriller stars south Indian actress Raai Laxmi, in the titular role of Julie, and this will be the actress’ Bollywood debut, marking her 50th movie in her acting career.
The teaser of the movie showcases Julie as a bold femme fatale and also gives an idea about the influence she makes on the people around her.
There have been various tweets from the movie’s official Twitter handle to throw some more light on the character. One of them describes Julie as, ‘’The minute you reach in to her eyes, you are likely to get mesmerized! She’s mystical; she’s magical.’’
The movie also stars veteran actress Rati Agnihotri, alongside Sahil Salathia, Aditya Srivastava, Ravi Kishen, Pankaj Tripathi, and NishikantKamant in supporting roles.
Julie 2 is based on the plot of the dark side of the Bollywood industry, paired with how nasty things can get when you get further clouded by the world of underworld smuggling and dirty politics.
Deepak Shivdasani is the writer and director and the film is being produced by Vijay Nair. The full trailer of the movie is all slated to release on September 4 and the movie will hit the screens on October 6.
The movie is a sequel to 2004’s Julie, also directed by Vijay Nair. It starred Neha Dhupia in the titular role, while Priyanshu Chatterjee, Achint Kaur, and Sanjay Kapur were seen in supporting roles.
