Updation of Your Mobile Number
The registered mobile numbers of primary and add-on cardholders must be updated with the bank to authenticate the OTP that would be received via SMS. The cardholders are provided with mentioned options to update their mobile numbers:
- Via HSBC Phone Banking
- By sending a secure SMS through Personal Internet Banking
- Submit a written request at the nearest HSBC Branch.
Different Ways to Make HSBC Credit Card Bill Payment
There are 2 different ways available with an HSBC credit cardholder to make a credit card payment. Let us suppose you have an HSBC Cashback Credit Card; the two options available to make credit card bill payments are online and offline, following many different ways provided by the bank. Let us discuss them in detail:

Via Online Modes:

Through Net banking
Step 1: Log in to the HSBC Net Banking.
Step 2: Under “Cards”, choose your credit card from the drop-down.
Step 3: Tap on “Pay and Transfer”. Enter the amount to be paid.
Step 4: Click on “Confirm” to make payment.
Step 5: A confirmation message will be received for payment made via SMS and email.

Through Mobile Banking
Step 1: Open the HSBC mobile app on your smartphone and log in.
Step 2: Under “Credit Cards”, click on ‘Pay”.
Step 3: Choose whether to click on “Total Amount Due”, “Minimum Due”, or “Other Amount”.
Step 4: Click on ‘Submit” to make the payment.
Step 5: A confirmation message will be received for payment made via SMS and email.

Through Visa Money Transfer:
Step 1: Log in to the net banking.
Step 2: Select “Visa Money Transfer”.
Step 3: Add your card details through “Add Billers” once so as to make payment directly through your account from next time onwards.
Step 4: Enter the amount that is to be paid to make payment on an instant basis.

Through NEFT using IFSC Code:
Step 1: Enter your credit card number in place of your account number.
Step 2: The IFSC code for HSBC cards is HSBC0400002.
Step 3: Enter the amount that is to be paid.

Through RTGS using IFSC Code
Step 1: Login to your preferred net banking website.
Step 2: Under “Funds Transfer”, click on “Add Beneficiary”.
Step 3: Add your HSBC card to the list of beneficiaries.
Step 4: Then select “RTGS” after an hour or so.
Step 5: Select the card from the list of beneficiaries.
Step 6: Enter the amount that is to be paid to make the payment.

Through an Electronic Clearance System
Step 1: Authorize any bank to debit the required amount directly from the bank.
Step 2: There is no need to pay manually; ECS allows the bank to auto-debit directly from the bank for a specified sum each month.

Through Bill Desk
Step 1: Open the HSBC BillDesk and then click on “Pay now”.
Step 2: Provide the details like credit card number, email ID, mobile number, amount to be paid, bank account, etc.
Step 3: Click on “Submit”.
Step 4: Log in to the net banking account and click on “Confirm”.
Step 5: The payment will then be processed on an instant basis.
Step 6: A confirmation message will be received for payment made via SMS and email.

Through Standing Instructions
Step 1: Set the standing instructions either through net banking, mobile banking, phone banking, or by visiting the bank.
Step 2: It can be set to auto-debit the amount every month and can be revoked as well.

Through UPI using IFSC Code
Step 1: Log in to any of the UPI Apps.
Step 2: Go to the tab “UPI Payments”.
Step 3: Click on “Send Money”.
Step 4: Enter the account number, amount to be paid, and IFSC code.

Via Phone Banking
Step 1: Cardholders may call 1860 108 7788 or 1860 500 2277, verify using PIN and ask the bank to auto-debit the amount from the bank account.
Step 2: The amount gets debited on an instant basis.
Step 3: A confirmation message will be received for payment made via SMS and email.

Through Cheque/ Draft
Step 1: Cardholders can also make payment via cheque or draft before the last date.
Step 2: The bank will charge late payment fees in case payment is made after the due date.

By Visiting ATM
Step 1: The cash/ cheque can be deposited at any HSBC ATM against the credit card bill payment before the due date.
Step 2: Also, debit cards can be used for funds transfer to make credit card bill payments.

By Visiting Bank
Step 1: Credit card bill payments can also be made via cash or cheque by visiting the branch as well.
