Saman Khan’s ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ faces trouble over its title
Several religious groups like Bajrang Dal and a group of right-wing Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) protested against the title of Salman Khan’s upcoming Eid release “Bajrangi Bhaijaan”.
The groups raised slogans and demanded the immediate change of the movie’s title as it hurts Hindu sentiments. They also threatened to launch a massive protest and stop the screening of the film unless the title is changed.
A local from Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh has sent a legal notice to Salman Khan, Yash Raj Films and director Kabir Khan demanding that the word ‘Bhaijaan’ be removed from the title, besides dropping other objectionable scenes from the film.
However, Superstar Salman Khan has dismissed the legal notice slapped on him and the makers of his upcoming film “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” saying that it does not bother him.
Salman in “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” can be seen playing the role of a Bajrang Bali devotee who takes on the task of returning a little girl to her family in Pakistan.
This Eid release movie which is set to release on 17th July is highly anticipated to be the reunion between Salman and director Kabir Khan in their 2012 superhit action film “Ek Tha Tiger.”
