Today it seems that fagging is one of the latest trends among teenagers and adults. But now the question arises what makes them do so? May be – to look cool, set a style symbol, to impress a girl, act older, seem tough, feel independent, stress relief or any other reason.

Do you really think that smoking is only the solution to the problems given above? If you think like this then you are totally wrong. Actually you are playing with your life.

Before playing with your life, you should be aware of the cigarette Ingredients and its hazards.

Cigarette Ingredients

In Cigarettes, there are approx. 600 ingredients. Do you know, when you burn a cigarette, it will produce 7000 chemicals and out of 7000 chemicals, 69 will cause cancer and some of them are poisonous.

List of chemicals used in cigarette and their alarming effects:

  • Acetaldehyde– Used in glues and resins and glues
  • Acetone– this type of chemical is used in solvents. It will also damage your liver and kidneys.
  • Acrolein–This chemical commonly used in herbicides and polyester resins.
  • Acrylonitrile–This chemical used in synthetic resins, plastics, and rubber.
  • 1-amino naphthalene–It’s a weed killer ingredient. It is a known carcinogen.
  • 2-amino naphthalene– this will cause bladder cancer.
  • Ammonia–Basically ammonia is used in cleaners and it will also cause asthma and raise blood pressure.
  • Benzene–This chemical used in gasoline, and will causes several cancers, including leukemia.
  • Benzo[a]pyrene–This will cause lung and skin cancer. It is known as a carcinogen
  • Butyraldehyde–This chemical affects the lining of the lungs and nose.
  • Cadmium–This chemical will damage the brain, liver, and kidneys.
  • Chromium–This will cause lung cancer. This chemical is used in wood preservatives and treatment, metal plating and alloys.
  • Cresol–This will cause throat, nasal and upper respiratory irritation.
  • Formaldehyde–This will cause nasal cancer and also damaging the digestive system, skin, and lungs.
  • Hydrogen Cyanide–This chemical used in gas chambers for executions. This will cause headaches, and nausea, lung weakness.
  • Hydroquinone–This will cause eye injuries and skin irritation. It is used in varnishes, motor fuels, and paints.
  • Lead–This will damage our brain’s nerves system, kidneys, and the human reproductive system.
  • Nickel–This will cause bronchial asthma and upper respiratory irritation.
  • Nitric Oxide– This is a major contributor to smog and acid rain. According to scientists,“it is linked to a higher risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease, Huntington’s disease, and asthma.”
  • NNN, NNK, and NAT– These 3 compounds are unique to tobacco.
  • Nicotine–Because of Nicotine, smokers are hard to quit smoking. Nicotine is an extremely fast-acting drug. Within a span of 15 seconds, it reaches the brain.
  • Tar–Tar consists of several cancer-causing chemicals. 70% of tar will remain in the human lungs when they inhale a cigarette.
