Delhi to Agra Road Trip
North India has its own perks when it comes to having road trips to some of the best destinations in the country. The capital city of Delhi has a plethora of options to offer and one of the best from the lot is a road trip to Agra, which is quite famous for the ever so wondrous monument of India: The Taj Mahal.
The road trip from Delhi to Agra is what can be called the most pleasant drive on the highway as on today, thanks to the Yamuna Expressway, which makes the whole road trip a thorough fun adventure from Delhi to Agra, via Mathura.
The extra wide highway is a pleasure for anyone with a zeal to drive and so if a quick trip to Agra from Delhi with family or friends, on a smooth drive with amazing music is something you are looking for, the Yamuna Expressway is your best choice, without a doubt!
But before we get there, here are a few important pointers for you to remember:

The Expressway
The Yamuna Expressway connecting the capital of India: Delhi with Agra is a total stretch of around 185 KMs, which technically if you are a good driver, you can manage to cover in approximately 2 hours. However, the catch here is that for you to get on the Yamuna Expressway in the first place, it will take a drive of around 60 KMs from mainstream Delhi. Hence, for this reason alone, you can add an extra one hour to the time spent for you to reach Agra from Delhi.
One thing you have to keep in mind before going on Yamuna Expressway that there is no petrol pumps on the highway. So, full your fuel tank before starting the journey.
Food options
Unfortunately, the only drawback of the Yamuna Expressway is that there are no super awesome dhabas for you to enjoy some north-Indian delicacies, however, after each toll points, there are other eateries available, which can totally satiate your hunger, but yes, not the way the traditional dhabas would.
If you are an ardent lover of dhaba food, in that case you would have to opt for the old highway connecting Delhi to Agra, which is the road via Palwal, but remember that the driving experience wouldn’t be as amazing as it would be through the Yamuna Expressway. So based on your whim and priorities, you can choose any of these two options!
