At the launch of its Mi MIX 2 and Mi Note 3 on Monday, popular Chinese mobile maker Xiaomi also unveiled the brand-new Mi Notebook Pro.

Featuring a 15.6-inch display, the key aspects of the new notebook include: Intel Core i7 processors as well as a ‘symmetrical cooling design,’ which according to the company, helps cool down the system effectively and efficiently. During the entire presentation that happened at the launch, this new notebook was compared to the 15-inch MacBook Pro 2017.

Another notable highlight of the Mi Notebook Pro includes a fingerprint sensor, located on the touchpad itself, which is compatible with Windows Hello. The 15.6-inch display on the notebook is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and features a 72% NTSC colour gamut.

Coming to the list of variants that the new Mi Notebook Pro has to offer, there are three in total—Intel Core i7, which comes with a 16 GB RAM and is priced at CNY 6,999, the next is Intel Core i7 with 8 GB RAM and is priced at CNY 5,999, and the last one is, Intel Core i5, priced at CNY 5,599.

The Mi Notebook Pro currently features up to the eighth-generation Intel Core i7 processors and has quite an effective and dedicated graphics card—Nvidia GeForce MX150, which has up to 16 GB of 2400MHz DDR4 RAM, alongside up to 256 GB PCle SSD.

The notebook boasts of a full-size backlit keyboard and according to the makers, the keyboard area on the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro is 19% larger than the MacBook Pro 2017. Ports on the notebook include—3-in-1 SD card slot, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, two USB Type-C ports, two USB Type-A ports: USB 3.0 and USB 2.0, and a full-sized HDMI port. With a measurement of 360.7 x 243.6 x 15.9 mm and weight of 1.95 kg, the Mi Notebook Pro has a dual band Wi-Fi 802.11ac.

Also, according to the makers, the notebook comes decked with a new lightweight charger that can help speed up the charging process, letting users charge the laptop up to 50% in just 35 minutes.

Other than that, it has been also reported that the notebook is loaded with Harman Infinity custom-built speakers along with Dolby Atmos audio.
