About Meize

Founded in the year 2003 by Jack Wong, Meizu is a popular Chinese company centered on manufacturing consumer electronics and has its headquarters located in Guangdong, China.

It started manufacturing smartphones from the year 2008, and the first handset it launched was the Meizu A8, which was powered by Microsoft Windows CE 6.

As of today, Meizu happens to be one of the top 10 smartphone manufacturers in the country of China and had successfully sold over 8.9 million handsets worldwide during the first half of the year 2015.

In the year 2012, Meizu went on to release Meizu MX, which became its first smartphone ever to be powered by Meizu’s Flyme operating system, an intently customized version of Android. This was followed by the releases of Meizu MX2 and Meizu MX3, all decked with one notch higher upgradations of the Flyme OS.

And by the year 2014, Meizu went on to launch the Meizu MX4, which happened to be their first smartphone with a Mediatek processor and had LTE enabled. From the end of 2014, Meizu launched the M line of smartphone products, which offered impressive specs in quite pocket-friendly budgets.

Some of the most popular ones in this series include models like the Meizu M1 Note, the Meizu M2 Note, etc. In the year 2015, Meizu launched its latest flagship, the Meizu PRO series, and went on to produce handsets like Meizu PRO 5 as well as Meizu PRO 5 Ubuntu Edition, both great success in the market. In 2016, the brand launched some more popular handsets, such as the Meizu M3E as well as the Meizu M3E Max, etc.
